The band was very proud and excited to perform at Tenbury Applefest again in 2018 and is eagerly looking forward to the 2019 event.
Each year Tenbury Wells, The Town in the Orchard, celebrates the Mighty Apple with a one day event held on the Town’s Burgage Recreational Area.
The 2019 Applefest is being held on Saturday October 5th, 2019.
Frank P Matthews Ltd set up a magnificent display of over 250 different varieties of apples. Their knowledgeable staff are on hand to talk about them and also apple/tree husbandry to help people get the best out of their trees.The Marcher Apple Network spends the day identifying different varieties of apples bought in by visitors. There is a vast array of Trade stands for everyone to browse and enjoy …some people have said they like to start their Christmas shopping at the Applefest.
Throughout the day there is a variety of entertainment for everyone to enjoy from local school children, the Tenbury Teme Valley Band, Leominster Morris Dancers, Tenbury Royal British Legion Choir and the Bromyard Town Crier.
There are Alpaca Treks with Temevale Alpacas, Trevor Hills Animal Encounters, a Magician and also the Pearl Lake Ukelele Group (PLUG).
