Fetes and Parks 2017

TENBURY TEME VALLEY BAND is enjoying a busy year of engagements, including local Fetes and Bands in the Park.

The band has already played in the beautiful Droitwich Lido Park where there was a large and very appreciative audience, who spontaneously joined in with the singing of ‘Old Time Singalong’ which has a selection of songs such as ‘It’s a Long Way to Tipperary’. There were many comments about the wide variety of pieces chosen. One gentleman won the prize for guessing how many pieces of music were in’ Instant Concert’.

We are looking forward to playing at Cripplegate Park, Worcester and Sanders Park, Bromsgrove.

Locally, the band has been welcomed so warmly at Hope Bagot Fete, St Mary’s Church Fayre .and Tenbury Primary Academy Fete The sun shone brightly at all three events and were really well attended. At St Mary’s some of our Fanfare Trumpets were played for the first time to the delight of our audience. They sounded fantastic and were in demand all afternoon. At Hope Bagot and St Mary’s the band had the historic backdrop of two beautiful churches. It was lovely to see so many people relaxing in the sunshine, chatting with friends, enjoying a cup of tea with delicious cakes, or just sitting on the grass watching the world go by. At the school it was super to watch families joining together to raise money for their children. The older children had even created their own games.
